For this 3D modeling and animation project, I drew inspiration from the movement of a bubble dispersing from a bubble wand. This motion is derived from the force of a human blowing into the wand.
As the bubble expands over time, its form alternates & changes dimensionally. Its dimensional form allows light to refract and highlight various areas of the bubble creating a translucent rainbow effect.
Below are some final renders from this project.
Vibrations is a (partially) silent short film that gives an insight to the life of young girl who is profoundly deaf. The girl who remains anonymous identifies her struggles and experiences of living her lifestyle.
The film concludes with the message that being deaf - doesn't mean that you can't hear anything at all. Through dancing and moving to music, we can feel the music by following the movement of others.
It is with gratitude that I found the participation of Danielle Mckay and the Wellington deaf community to help me to comprise the following film.
Some- feel to hear.
Inspired by the Jamie xx clip, Sleep Sound.
Directed, shot and edited by myself.

Feel is a short video which encourages us as an audience, to understand that facial expressions are a universal language for emotion. Using copyright free footage from the Digital New Zealand Archive and music from the Free Music Archive, Feel is a remix of historical footage which allows it's audience to experience a short journey of emotion, and be reminded that expressions, even in the most minimalistic form, are a way of understanding one another, no matter what culture or difference.
